Bowls Pennant

Bowls has been played at the Heidelberg Golf Club since the green was opened in 1958. Initially the bowling green was introduced in an effort to retain older golf members who could no longer play golf, but were able to take up bowls as a pastime and still retain an affiliation with the Club.

In 1959 the bowls club became affiliated with the Royal Victorian Bowls Association (RVBA), and the Club did not have to wait long to achieve some success in Pennant competition.
