Social Committee October Update<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Spring and daylight savings have arrived and the club\u2019s social scene is in full swing. The following are what is coming up between now and Christmas: <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Upcoming Events:<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. \u2018Shootout at the Berg\u2019 & Friday Night Dinners<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0With the popular \u201cPar 3\u201d contest beginning last week and running through to the end of the year Friday nights are a great time to come down to the club for a fun round of golf and dinner at the club.\u00a0 Even if you can\u2019t play in the par 3 competition you can come down and enjoy dinner in the wonderful atmosphere of your own clubhouse with a choice of 5-6 menu favourites. We\u2019ll also be holding the monthly birthday dinners every month so keep an eye out for the dates in November and December.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Heidelberg\u2019s Annual Reverse Raffle \u2013<\/strong>tickets are selling fast for what has fast become an institution on our social calendar. The 3rd<\/sup>annual Reverse Raffle is scheduled for\u00a0<\/em>Sunday October 2<\/em><\/strong><\/a>7th<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>The format for the day is a last man standing raffle with 1st<\/sup>prize of $3,000, 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0and 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0get $500 each while the next 10 places get their money back. The rest get to spend the afternoon enjoying the club\u2019s fine hospitality with an open bar and all-day food\u00a0<\/em>from 12:30pm to 5:00pm<\/em><\/a>\u00a0all included in the price of the ticket. Tickets now on sale at $100 each so please see\u00a0Alby<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Italo<\/strong>\u00a0to secure yours.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Melbourne Cup Luncheon \u2013<\/strong>this annual event will be held again this year on Cup Day, Tuesday 5th<\/sup> November<\/strong>. On offer is the usual great food with a 3-course luncheon as well as sweeps and prizes for best dressed. Keep an eye out on the website for details of the day and how to book. Come along, bring your friend and enjoy what is always a great day at your club<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Afternoon on the Green \u2013 Sunday November 10th<\/em><\/strong> with live music performed by Joel Quinn between 2:00pm \u2013 5:00pm. $25.00per head for finger food and 2 x complimentary drinks with barefoot bowls running for those that are feeling slightly competitive. Otherwise sit back, relax and enjoy the music on what promises to be a relaxing and enjoyable day.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our social calendar is now on the club website detailing all events scheduled for this year and we will provide more detail on each of them as the dates get closer.<\/em><\/p>\n
