The Club offers lawn bowlers of all levels the opportunity to join a great club, with excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere. There are no strangers at our bowling club, just friends you haven’t met yet.<\/p>\n
Bowls is a mentally stimulating activity that offers great friendships and the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, participating in a sport that does not require outstanding strength or physical attributes unless you are playing at a very advanced level.<\/p>\n

Practice is free and organised Social bowls and Pennant are only $5 per game. We will even lend you a set of bowls to get you started. Casual clothes are fine and you can even play in bare-feet until you have a pair of flat soled shoes. When you want a club uniform, you will find all bowls clothing items are inexpensive.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Heidelberg Golf Club offers bowlers:<\/strong><\/p>\n There are all kinds of club and local tournaments for people of all skill levels. Mixed events offer men and women the opportunity to compete in a fun and relaxed environment, and there is no better place to be on a gorgeous spring or summer day or a cool summer evening.<\/p>\n For those who love the excitement of competing, there are excellent competitive lawn bowls structures including club, regional and national events.<\/p>\n Saturday Pennant – 3 Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday Open Pennant – 2 Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n Tuesday Night Pennant – 1 Team<\/strong><\/p>\n Regular news updates and results are posted on the members\u2019 only section of the Club website during the pennant season.<\/p>\n The Club offers businesses, community groups, and individuals the opportunity to experience lawn bowls at our wonderful club. Enjoying a day or afternoon event for fun or \u201cteam building\u201d is a great way to reward staff or entertain friends.<\/p>\n We can provide as little or as much supervision as you need and can provide catering to make it an event to remember. Drinks are also available at Club prices and a great covered seating area with built in bbq is available for hire.<\/p>\n To enquire about rates and availability of our all-weather artificial turf bowling green and facilities, please contact our events coordinator on (03) 9433 5300.<\/p>\n Barefoot bowls evenings operate every Friday night from 6.00pm starting in October every year until the\u00a0daylight savings summer season ends \u00a0in April. Bowls are provided and coaching is available for those who need it.<\/p>\n How much does it cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n The cost for members of the public is only $15 per person which includes a sausage sizzle, and drinks are available at very reasonable prices.<\/p>\n Children are welcome as long as they are well supervised, and\u00a0there is plenty of room for prams and strollers.<\/p>\n Cancellations due to weather<\/strong><\/p>\n While our all-weather artificial turf greens can cope with rain, In the event of adverse weather, barefoot bowls may be cancelled.
