To improve social distancing and to help deal with the fog, we will now be hitting off the 10th hole as the first and will be playing the back 9 as 5 to 4. So the hole order for 18 hole golf is 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 1, 2, 3, 4. When you have finished at the 4th hole please go to your car via the lower car park.

This opportunity is taken to AGAIN remind all members of the rules in place for the upcoming week:

  • One game of 18 holes and one game of 9 holes per member.
  • If you are retired we are requesting you to play during the week
  • Any member who exceeds this limit will be removed from the timesheets.
  • We are asking that all Members who are able to play during the week must leave the weekend spots free for those Members who work Monday to Friday. The club will be strictly reviewing all weekend bookings.
  • Failing to appear for a booked time and not advising the Golf Shop in a timely manner will result in removal of playing rights in the following week.
  • No Guests or Green Fee players will be allowed to play until further notice.

Exception: If there are spots available from 6pm the day before we will allow members who want to fill vacant spots to do so.  Doing this will not affect your weekly booking limit. People who are not following these rules will have their booking deleted.

Thank you all for your understanding and assistance during this time.

Carts

While we have announced carts are back, due to the rain we will only be allowing them on holes 1 to 9. Only club carts will be allowed and no private carts as club carts are lighter. Unfortunately, you will either need to walk or stop after the first 9 holes.

As per the regulations golf carts should only be used by a person who has a disability, is over the age of 65, or who can demonstrate that they require one due to having special needs. Course operators are required to thoroughly clean the carts in between each use

All Prizes will be delivered in voucher form.

Unfortunately due to the wet weather the decision has been made to close the course on:

Sunday 12th July and Monday 13th July

We will reassess and make another announcement on Monday.

Thank you for your understanding as we have made this decision in the best interest of protecting our course.

Metropolitan Melbourne will re-enter stage 3 restrictions as of 11:59pm tomorrow night.

We are currently seeking clarification on the new rules and regulations and how it will effect golf.

We will send an update ASAP.

All future timesheets are currently closed until we have this clarification.

Tomorrow will operate as usual in the clubhouse and on the course. We hope to see you there.

Don’t forget to check out the clearance sale in the Bryn Teg Room.
