In recent times through website postings the club has strongly encouraged all members to be vaccinated. Below is the outcome of recent changes from the Victorian Government and we expect all members, guests and visitors to follow the guidelines in this policy. The Board of Heidelberg Golf Club has been continuously considering the issue of providing access to our clubhouse, golf course and bowling green as we exit forced restrictions by the Victorian Government. After considering many options, on Thursday 14th October the Board decided to continue to follow directives in accordance with Government regulations subject to review if the Covid situation changed in Victoria or at our Club.
On Saturday 30th October the club received communication from Golf Australia outlining an update from the Chief Health Officer that can be read here. The major change made is the requirement that golfers must be fully vaccinated or have an exception in order to play, as outlined here;
As from Tuesday the 2nd of November all members now will be required to be fully vaccinted to play golf.
It continues to be a requirement for members to scan the QR code on entry to any part of the Club premises, or have a staff record your attendance should you be unable to use the QR scan. Proof of vaccination status is now required to enter any part of the Club premises. Members who have submitted their proof of vaccination status to the club will not be required to display when arriving at the Pro shop. Members who have not submitted proof of vaccination status to the club will be required to do so upon arrival at the Pro shop. We ask that any conversations on this subject are held respectfully with staff.
Below is a copy of revised golf and clubhouse operations as we return to near normal over the next week:
- Golf in groups of 4 and competitions return from Saturday 30th October, golfers must be fully vaccinated or have an exception in order to play,as outlined here;
- Usual timesheets continue from Saturday 30th October
